TMBCC is fundraising to repair KCL building & Jangchub Stupa
Dear Friends of the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center,
Our Center is over 40 years old. In those years, we have created many memories with teachings, ceremonies, and cultural events and our Center has hosted His Holiness the Dalai Lama many times. Time has passed and our Monastery is now in need of repairs. Many of our buildings are weathered and are showing the effects of time.
Additionally, in the past, we have remodeled and repaired our buildings with the generous contributions made by all of you. We so appreciate and rejoice in your merits.
We are now reaching out to you our friends, and asking for your help. Due to the pandemic, we have the time to do some needed repairs. But unfortunately, our Center is not generating much income. We also realize many of you, our supporters and friends, are having difficulties, but we are asking for your help and we are grateful for whatever support you can give us.
Our plan is to repair our main building, the Chamste Ling Temple. On the upper part of the outside walls were built using foam, and they are damaged due to birds making holes, which allows water to enter the building. We have a sponsor who donated PVC, which is much stronger, but we are still in need of more. Additionally, there is the cost of the labor and materials.
The Jangchub Chorten (Stupa) needs to be repaired as the surface is damaged.
Cost for the Chamtse Ling Temple and Chorten
Repair outside walls
Paint outside walls
Replace all broken windows
Replace 4 air-conditioning units and their air ducts
As friends and donors, we realize that you are only able to support as much as you can. If you would like to sponsor just one thing, such as a door or window, we are very grateful for whatever you can give. But little by little any donation will help us maintain our Center, grow and thrive and continue our practice of Buddhism for the benefit of all sentient beings. The Buddhist tradition, has relied upon the generosity of others, so please consider donating to this worthy cause.
